Cali Wang is an Emmy-winning sound artist and composer whose work explores the experimental soundscapes and immersive acoustics. Specializing in a signature "dreamy organic" aesthetic, she utilizes boutique analog synthesis and complex technology to bridge the gap between human, acoustic elements and industrial textures. Her standalone electroacoustic releases, including the HIMA-nominated Elephants by the Shore (2022) and the experimental album OMG (2025), focus on manipulating audio to the limits of perception. This artistic practice is deeply informed by her extensive world-building expertise in visual media, showcasing her technical mastery over both delicate orchestrations and aggressive electronic sound design across high-profile projects like Amazon's GEN V (2025), Apple TV’s Omnivore (2024 and A24's HOME (2022), which earned her the 2023 Daytime Emmy for Best Original Composition. Her artistic trajectory has also been supported by the 2024 ASCAP Michelle and Dean Kay Award, the 2021 SESAC Reel Change Fund, the 2018 BMI Carpenter Fellowship, and her selection for the 2024 VIFF Composer/Filmmaker Accelerate program.
